The different combinations are shown above the 5 dice, across 3 lines:

1: Total of Aces (Ones) only.

Example: Combination 1-4-3-5-1 scores 2 points.

2: Total of Twos only.

Example: Combination 2-4-2-2-1 scores 6 points.

3: Total of Threes only.

Example: Combination 3-3-2-5-1 scores 6 points.

4: Total of Fours only.

Example: Combination 3-4-4-4-4 scores 16 points.

5: Total of Fives only.

Example: Combination 3-5-5-4-4 scores 10 points.

6: Total of Sixes only.

Example: Combination 6-5-6-6-4 scores 18 points.

If the total score of these 6 “upper section” combinations is 63 points or more, then an Upper Section Bonus of 35 points is earned. This bonus is added to the player’s total score as soon as it is secured. This may happen at a time where the player has not yet selected all 6 combinations.

The remaining “lower section” combinations are:

3K: 3-of-a-Kind, meaning 3 or more dice of the same number. The score is the total of all dice.

Example: Combination 2-4-5-5-5 scores 21 points.

4K: 4-of-a-Kind, meaning 4 or more dice of the same number. The score is the total of all dice.

Example: Combination 6-4-6-6-6 scores 28 points.

SS: Small Straight – the dice must show a sequence of 4 numbers, that is:

a) Ace, Two, Three and Four, or

b) Two, Three, Four and Five, or

c) Three, Four, Five and Six.

The fifth dice is disregarded.

Fixed score for this combination is 30 points.

Examples: a) 4-1-3-6-2, b) 4-3-2-5-5, c) 4-5-6-3-4.

LS: Large Straight – the dice must show a sequence of 5 numbers, that is:

b) Two, Three, Four, Five and Six.

Fixed score for this combination is 40 points.

FH: Full House, that is 3 dice of one number and 2 of another.

Fixed score for this combination is 25 points.

Example: Combination 4-5-5-4-5.

CH: Chance. The score is the total of all dice – any combinations are accepted.

Example: Combination 4-5-2-1-6 scores 18 points.

YA: Yahtzee, meaning 5-of-a-Kind. Fixed score is 50 points.

The Combinations are color coded as follows:

BLACK: Either the player hasn’t completed the rolls and can therefore not select any combinations yet, or it is not allowed to select this particular combination.

PINK: This combination has already been selected. The points earned is also indicated.

BLUE: This combination can now be selected and will earn the player some points.

RED: This combination can now be selected but will not earn the player any points.

Yahtzee Bonus:

If the player has already used the “Yahtzee” combination (YA) and thereby scored 50 points (possibly 100 points with Sharp Dice), then a Yahtzee Bonus of 100 points is earned each time an additional Yahtzee is rolled.

Yahtzee Joker Rules:

Yahtzee #2, #3 etc. can act as “joker” in certain combinations (no matter if a Yahtzee Bonus is earned or not). Please refer to the Yahtzee Joker Rules.

Sharp Dice (only in Premium edition):

With this rule the score is doubled in some cases. Please refer to the Sharp Dice Rules.

When the game has ended and the winner is announced, the color coding of the combinations change. This should give a good impression of the performance of the player:

RED: The score is 0 points.

ORANGE: The score is <= 50% of the max possible score.

BLUE: The score is > 50%, men < the max possible score.

BLUE with bold types: The score is the max possible score.

PINK with bold types: The score is > max possible score 🙂

(Only possible with Sharp Dice).
